The Center has expertise in program evaluation and offers these services as part of funded program evaluation or as distinct services.
The Center collaborates with Virginia Tech faculty and staff and community partners to write and submit grants. The Center provides public health and grant management expertise on grants. The Center does not write grants in which it does not make a contribution. All funds managed through the Center flow directly to partners, including indirect, with the exception of percent effort retained for Center personnel salary.
The Center helps coordinate working partnerships among Virginia Tech faculty, staff and students and community partners.
The Center has expertise in quantitative, qualitative and mixed method designs and can help you identify and select the most appropriate analytic approach.
Center staff and partners have expertise on a wide range of public health topics. We can help design public health education messages, develop and administer needs assessments, design and conduct evaluations and more. Please contact us to see how we may assist you.
The Center provides lectures, seminars and workshops on various public health topics throughout the year. We work with Continuing and Professional Education at Virginia Tech to ensure that educational programs qualify for CE and CME. All programs qualify for CE and CME are stated in their respective descriptions. Some seminars and workshops are free; others have a fee. Click here for a list of current offerings.
Graduate students enrolled in the Master of Public Health Program are encouraged to participate in Center activities to enrich their practicum experience or capstone project. The Center will help match graduate students with faculty and community partners. Undergraduate students may be involved in Center activities upon recommendation of faculty advisors and availability of projects.
